Your Dinner
You're Invited! With Spring emerging, it's time to plant the seeds of abundance for the seasons ahead. For thousands of years and across countless cultures, humans have gathered to celebrate the departure of old-man winter, and the balancing of light. Out from the fight of survival came the warm relief- the rebirth of our natural world. Equinox represents balance, let's give the gift of balance to one another over a shared dinner table.
Your 5-course dinner will be prepared by none other than the Soul Haus Kitchen. Menu and local ingredient announcements coming soon. We invite you to bring a gift to share for the gift pool. Anyone who brings a gift for the pool joins the gift-sharing pool. Finally, come prepared to make spring wreaths, details to come!
Ears to Hear
As you dine and commune, experience the musical performance of the renowned Melissa Chillinski and her trio, The Pearly Blue Band. Melissa’s seemingly incongruent professional experiences shape her artistry. She has a Masters of Soil Science and spent nearly a decade working on farms and in conservation science positions across the country.
Our Community Focus
Let's concentrate our community attention on the live and beating heart of our valley. Save Our Great Salt Lake works to restore the Great Salt Lake by raising awareness, with an emphasis on deep systemic shifts that address the cultural and spiritual roots of the crisis: our disconnection from the living world. SOGSL recognizes Great Salt Lake as a living entity with the right to live, thrive, and be fully restored, and advocates for an agricultural transition that honors bioregional limits and prioritizes resilient local food production and consumption.
All net proceeds from the dinner will be donated to Save Our Great Salt Lake as an act of concentrated community action. Donations are non-refundable and tax deductible. The Hive Kind Coalition is a registered 501c3.
Our Hosts
Dinner will be hosted by The Urban Arts Gallery at The Gateway, 116 South Rio Grande St., March 27th 5:30 - 9:30 PM
(yes, the 27th is a week after Spring Equinox! But we shall celebrate it all the same)
